Over the past two decades, the Washington Legislature has moved toward greater use of evidenceand researchbased interventions in the juvenile justice system. The Washington State Institute for Public Policy (WSIPP) has evaluated several juvenile justice interventions to determine whether these programs reduce recidivism and whether the benefits outweigh program costs.
